Dona Crampton Finfrock
Dona A., daughter of Byron and Margaret Crampton was born near Richmond, Ind., June 20, 1868. She and her twin sister were the eldest of a family of six children, three brothers having preceded her in death. At the age of 4 years, the family moved to Covington, O., where she grew up and lived in Covington and vicinity all of her life, with the exception of the last six years which have been spent in Troy, O. At the age of 16 years, she united with the Methodist Church in Covington, O., under the pastorage of Rev. W. R. Dill and was an active member until the church disbanded. In 1888 she was united in marriage to William M. Finfrock. Ten children were born to this union; J. Roger of Covington, W. Ralph and Milo C. of Piqua, Mrs. Isabel Sinks of Dayton, W. Byron of Indianapolis, Homer L., Mrs. Marie Hoover and Mrs. Maude Longendelpher of Troy. Mrs. Finfrock lived for the happiness of her husband and children and the good that she might do in an undemonstrative manner, be devoted to her family. She will be remembered as a kind and good neighbor. Having been a life long resident of this community, she was loved and respected by everybody with whom she came in contact. There remains to mourn her death, the husband, six sons and four daughters, with their families including thirty grandchildren, also two sisters, Mrs. L.C. Neth of Piqua, and the twin sister, Mrs. Dora Finfrock of Covington and a large circle of other relatives and friends.
